Emphasis Program
The emphasis program was designed to give the student a more in-depth educational experience in a specific interest area. By participating in the Emphasis program, the student has the opportunity to choose an area or areas of interest to focus on while at Copper Hills. Each Emphasis will have specific Academic requirements. Students must complete these requirements to earn their Emphasis. Along with the Academic requirements, each Emphasis will have particular requirements that support the learning in that Emphasis area. Some of these requirements may be participation in certain extra curricular groups, club, fairs, or contests. Students may be required to complete an activity or athletic letter, a project, or an internship. To help aid the student in their desire to earn an Emphasis, all Emphasis pathways have been included on this website. The student will need to be aware of the requirements in each specific Emphasis because all Emphasis areas have both academic and activity requirements that will deepen the knowledge and understanding in that particular interest area. Students can earn an Emphasis in any academy; they are not restricted to earning Emphases in their chosen academies.
Emphasis applications can be printed from the CHHS Academy website or may be picked up from the Emphasis Advisor.
