Copper Service Award
As part of the service learning componenet for the CHHS Academies Program, we would like to recognize those studetns who are extending themselves outside of these school curriculum and into community service. Those students who would like to receive the Copper Service Award for their volunteer work must complete the following:
Contact the Scholarship specialist in the Counseling Center for imformation regarding volunteer opportunites. Also check the website: www.volunteer.utah.org.
- Volunteer for a minimun of 100 hours throughout their high school years.
- Submit documentation of the service hours. (To include activities, dates of service, hours spent and signature.title of person verifying service).

Recognition through the Copper Service Program
1. An enhanced diploma will be awarded.
2. A gold cord may be worn on the student's graduation robe. (Students who qualify for the Copper Service Award will be required to pay a $5.00 fee to the main office. They take the receipt to Alyse Pearmain to pick up their cord on the day caps and gowns are delivered to Copper Hills High).
3. The graduation program will acknowledge all recipients.
4. Transcripts will reflect the Copper Service Award.
5. Students will be recognized at the Senior Awards Reception.
6. Students will earn a pride pin.
